ATLANTA -- A man was taken into custody after barricading himself inside an Atlanta apartment Thursday morning.
The man, whose name was not released, was reportedly armed and hiding inside a unit at the Edgewood Court Apartments on Hardee Street, Atlanta Police said.
The apartments are located across the street from Maynard H. Jackson High School. The school was temporarily placed on lockdown while police tried to negotiate with the suspect.
No other details were immediately available.
