GRAYSON, Ga. -- A driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries Thursday morning after an accident that killed one horse and injured another.
According to Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Edwin Ritter, the horses were on Grayson Highway near Pinehurst Road when a vehicle hit them shortly after 6:30 a.m.
"One of the horses died instantly and the other suffered serious injuries and was dispatched by an officer that arrived on scene," Ritter said in a statement.
The vehicle's driver was taken to a local hospital. No other details were immediately available.
