DULUTH, Ga. -- An overturned tractor trailer and diesel spill has blocked the 2 right lanes of Interstate 85 northbound at Georgia 316 in Gwinnett County.
Georgia Department of Transportation officials say the tractor trailer was carrying 46,000 pounds of concrete slabs.
According to GDOT, a section of damaged asphalt will have to be removed and replaced before it can open to traffic. Traffic in all but one lane will resume its flow by 1 p.m. The remaining lane is expected to reopen at 4 p.m.
Motorists heading southbound on I-85 can take Satellite Boulevard as an alternate. For drivers trying to get to GA 316, GA 120 is an alternative.
