Today's the last day to support Gainesville HS in the USA TODAY mascot contest!

GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- The Gainesville High School Red Elephants have been crowned Georgia's winner of the USA TODAY High School Sports Best Mascot contest.

Gainesville High will now go on to represent Georgia in the Region 3 competition.

The six winners from the regional contest will then vie for the chance to win $2,000 and be named the best high school sports mascot in the U.S.
