ATLANTA, Ga. -- Authorities are on the scene of a single-vehicle accident near the Richard B. Russell Federal Building in downtown Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, a black Jeep Liberty SUV drove off of an overpass in the vicinity of Spring Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Fire and EMS say the two passengers and one driver involved in the accident have been "extracted" from the vehicle and transported to Grady Memorial Hospital and are in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation indicates the driver experienced a medical emergency while driving causing the accident. The driver of the Jeep was cited for not having a valid license.
No other charges have been filed at this time.
