LITHONIA, Ga. -- A water main break has shut down a portion of Covington Highway in DeKalb County Thursday morning.
DeKalb County dispatchers said the break happened on Covington Highway at Phillips Road in Lithonia.
One westbound lane and one eastbound lane of Covington Highway are shut down by water flowing across the road. There was no immediate word on when the road will reopen.
11Alive traffic anchor Elle Duncan recommends taking Hillandale Drive as an alternate route.
