(WXIA) -- Some events in and around metro Atlanta have been postponed due to the heavy rains expected through Friday.

Here's our current list of cancellations:

Cauble Park in Acworth was the chosen site for fireworks and festivities on Thursday, but Captain Mark Cheatham of the Acworth Police Department said the annual Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks will now be held Friday, July 19.

The Allatoona Yacht Club (Lake Allatoona, Cartersville, GA) cancelled their fireworks display. The new date is July 20 with a back up rain date of July 26.

The Chamber of Commerce in Calhoun says fireworks originally scheduled for Thursday have been rescheduled to coincide with the opening of the Northwest Georgia Regional Fair on Saturday, September 7.

The city of Canton has canceled their fireworks.

Officials in Carrollton have rescheduled their fireworks to July 13 at 8 p.m. The People's Parade has been rescheduled to July 13 at 9 a.m.

The city of Chamblee has postponed their fireworks and festivities scheduled for Keswick Park on July 4 until Sunday July 7.

Officials in Covington said they are moving Thursday's concert and fireworks to Saturday, July 6.

Dahlonega officials have shifted the city's Independence Day festivities and fireworks to Saturday July 6. The Firecracker 5K/10K Run and Fun Run will still take place on Thursday, July 4.

Decatur officials said their Independence Day activities, including their parade and fireworks, have been postponed until Saturday, September 28.

Duluth has canceled their activities for tonight.  The fireworks will be rescheduled to follow the Duluth Fall Festival concert featuring Rupert's Orchestra on September 14th

Officials in Douglasville have canceled their 4th of July parade and fireworks. The fireworks display will be rescheduled for Labor Day (Monday, September 2).

East Point's Salute to the Red, White and Blue Celebration and Fireworks event has been postponed until Saturday, July 6 from 5 to 11 p.m. Fireworks will go off at 9:30 p.m.

The city of Franklin in Heard County says their Independence Day events -- including their fireworks -- have been rescheduled for Saturday, July 6.

Hall County officials have called off fireworks at Laurel Park in Gainesville. The fireworks show, which benefits the American Legion Paul E. Bolding Post 7, will now take place for Labor Day, August 2.

Henry County 4th of July Extravaganza at Nash Farms has been temporarily postponed with a future date to be announced.

The city of Hiram canceled the Red, White, & Boom fireworks show due to inclement weather. The fireworks show was supposed to take place on Friday July 5, 2013. The City of Hiram stated that they will reschedule the event at a later date.

The city of Kennesaw also announced Tuesday that their Wednesday concert and fireworks have been canceled. In an official release, the city said additional information would be forthcoming.

City officials in Lawrenceville have cancelled their fireworks, which were scheduled for Wednesday night. There are no plans for a make-up date.

Lilburn's Sparkle in the Park fireworks event has been postponed, with an anticipated make up date on Sunday, September 1, as part of the city's Labor Day Weekend celebration.

Marietta city officials have cancelled their fireworks. The city says it is working on alternate dates for the fireworks display.

Fireworks in Newnan have been rescheduled to July 13. The city of Newnan's Independence Day parade has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

Officials in Oxford, in Newton County, have canceled their Independence Day Parade, which had been scheduled for Thursday.

Peachtree City officials have cancelled all of their Independence Day activities. The fireworks display has been rescheduled for Labor Day weekend.

The city of Porterdale, to the south of Athens in Newton County, has moved their Independence Day celebration to Saturday, July 6, with their parade kicking off at 4 p.m., and culminating with fireworks at dark.

The City of Powder Springs' Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks has been postponed. A reschedule date has yet to be decided by Mayor Vaughn, but the community will be informed when the celebration will take place. 

Six Flags Over Georgia has postponed their fireworks display to Saturday, July 6. The Coca-Cola July 4th Fest and exclusive ride times have also shifted to Saturday July 6.

The city of Snellville has cancelled their July 4 fireworks and concert. The decision was handed down from the Snellville Tourism and Trade Board. The city will hold a fireworks show and concert on Saturday, August 31, in lieu of the cancelled July 4 event. 

The community of Suches  has rescheduled its annual fireworks display to Saturday July 6th.

Sugar Hill has postponed their Sparks in the Park concert and fireworks display, which was initially scheduled for Wednesday evening, due to the heavy rains. Officials there said Tuesday that the event has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 3.

Villa Rica officials said their fireworks, originally scheduled for Wednesday are being rescheduled to Friday, August 30.

Officials in Woodstock said they have canceled their fireworks and are rescheduling them for Labor Day, Monday, September 2.
