WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- A large water main break at South Holly Springs Road and East Cherokee Drive has caused authorities to close the intersection to traffic.
The break was reported at around 2:15 a.m. Thursday. It resulted in a large sinkhole, about 30 to 35 feet across, in the intersection.

Crews were called out to make repairs on the six-inch line. The expect to have it repaired by noon Thursday, but there was no immediate word on when the intersection will reopen.
