(USA TODAY) -- A massive Boeing 747 Dreamlifter cargo plane landed at the wrong airport late Wednesday. Now it may be stuck there for a while, reports said.

The plane, bound for McConnell Air Force Base from JFK Airport in New York, set down instead at Jabara Airport, near Wichita, Kan.

"A Dreamlifter bound for McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita safely landed this evening at nearby Col. James Jabara Airport instead. We are working to determine next steps and will have additional information in the morning," Boeing said in a statement seen by local media.

No further information as to what caused the diversion was immediately available.

The City of Wichita's Twitter account said no one was injured and there were no reports of damage to property when the plane landed.

KWCH reported that a Dreamlifter requires a runway "9,199 feet long to take off at maximum takeoff weight, and 7,000 feet to land at maximum landing weight. The runway length at Jabara is 6,101 feet."

CNN reported that a tug was sent to Jabara to move the jet but that at one point it broke down.
