Bailey's Choice Pet Treats, a Waleska-based company, is recalling packages of chicken treats with lot number 132881 and an expiration date of February 2014.

Five-ounce bags of chicken jerky with lot number "Jun 5 2013" have also been recalled.

The recall was expanded Wednesday to include seven more packages of treats, including:

* 100% Chicken Treat, lot number "Jun 2 2013"
* 100% Chicken Treat, lot number "Jun 2 2013"
* 100% Chicken Breast Treat, lot number "Jun 4 2013"
* 100% Chicken Treat, lot number "Jun 15 2013"
* 100% Chicken Treat, lot number "Jun 8 2013"
* 100% Chicken Treat, lot number "Jun 11 2013"
* 100% Teriyaki Chicken Treats, lot number "132881"

Pet owners who bought these treats are asked to throw them away.

"We are working hard to find the problem and will correct it immediately to ensure safe products for both humans and our four legged friends," Bailey's Choice owner Roger Thomas said in an email to distributors.

Signs of salmonella infections in pets include fever, lethargy, diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration, weight loss and rapid heart rate. Dogs that experience these symptoms should be taken to the vet as soon as possible.
