ATLANTA -- Many of the traffic incidents that caused headaches and delays for commuters across metro Atlanta Thursday morning have since been cleared.
Traffic is still heavy on northbound Interstate 75/85 between Langford Parkway and Interstate 20. Three left lanes of westbound I-75/85 were blocked at University Avenue due to a four-car crash. Another nearby crash involving an overturned bus has since been cleared.
A crash on southbound I-85 at the I-285 eastbound ramp caused some backups on I-85. Georgia Department of Transportation spokeswoman Chata Spikes said the accident involved a tractor trailer and a car. One person was injured; the extent of the injuries is not yet known.
One left lane was blocked on southbound I-285 at Monroe Drive. Two left lanes were blocked on westbound Highway 78 at Mountain Industrial Boulevard in DeKalb County.
A two-car crash also blocked the center lane of northbound I-75 at Jodeco Road in Henry County.
