Woman trapped after tree crashes on home

Police were called to the home on Beecher Road after a tree came crashing down.

ATLANTA -- A Southwest Atlanta woman was trapped in her home Thursday morning after a tree came crashing down.

Police were called to the home on Beecher Road, near Cascade Road and Benjamin E. Mays Drive at about 9:15 a.m.

The tree brought down some power lines, which forced the woman to stay indoors until they were cleared.

She was not hurt.
