TAMPA, Fla. -- An AMBER Alert issued in Florida after deputies in Tampa said two young children were abducted by their own parents, has been expanded to Florida, Alabama and Louisiana.

The children, 2-year-old Chase and 4-year-old Cole Hakken are believed to be with their non-custodial parents, Joshua and Sharyn Hakken.

The kids are described as follows:

Chase Hakken, 2-years-old

3'
33 lbs
Brown hair
Brown eyes
Last seen wearing: unknown color of pajamas

Cole Hakken, 4-years-old

3' 9"
44 lbs
Brown hair
Brown eyes
Last seen wearing: unknown color of pajamas

Joshua Michael Hakken is a 34-year-old white male, 5-foot-9-inches tall, 175 pounds in weight, with brown hair and brown eyes. Sharyn Patricia Hakken is a 34-year-old white female, 5-foot-4-inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

They are believed to be traveling in a black 2006 GMC Sierra pickup with Florida - University of South Florida license tag number U95KT. Authorities said the parents are believed to be armed and dangerous.

The Hillsborough County, Fla., Sheriff's Office says the family could be anywhere in the southeast part of the country.

A day after losing custody of Chase and Cole, Joshua Hakken broke into their grandmother's house at around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

"He entered the residence, where he tied up the grandmother and then removed the children," said Cpl. Kevin Bodie, a case detective with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

It happened in what neighbors describe as a quiet neighborhood just as parents were taking their children to school.

"My heart breaks, my heart beaks for everybody in the family, but particularly for those two little boys," said Carla Bolling, who saw all the activity around the grandmother's home on Shady Shores Drive in Tampa.

Hakken was last seen with the children and his wife, Sharyn, in a Black 2006 GMC pickup truck with USF tag number U95-KT. Investigators are not sure if she was part of the kidnapping plot or a victim.

"We do feel that they are in danger due to the nature, the means where they were taken," said Bodie.

Throughout the evening, deputies searched Hakken's home on South Sterling Avenue in South Tampa first with a K-9. Detectives were seen removing several computers to pinpoint his whereabouts.

Late Wednesday afternoon, a warrant was issues for Joshua Hakken's arrest on two counts of kidnapping, two counts of child neglect, two counts of false imprisonment, one count of burglary with batter, and one count of grand theft auto.

The children were originally removed from Hakken's custody last year in Louisiana following multiple drug charges. While in foster care, Joshua Hakken allegedly showed up at the foster care facility waving a gun and began beating on the front door. He fled the scene without his children after he was unable to enter the secured facility.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has issued a Levi's Call (Georgia's version of the Amber Alert) for the boys. Overhead highway signs and billboards across the state, along with radio and television announcements have gone out with the description of the boys, their parents and the suspect automobile.

Louisiana State Police have also issued a level II - Endangered/Missing Advisory as the parents and children may be traveling to or through Louisiana.

Anyone with any information regarding the location of these children are asked to immediately dial 911 or call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200.
