Atlanta No. 8 city for single, educated women

ATLANTA -- Atlanta is No. 8 in the United States for single, educated women, according to a new survey.

Seattle-based online real estate company Redfin conducted the research, which examined the percentage of women with four-year college degrees, the percentage of women with a salary greater than $65,000, and the percentage of women who are single and between 25 and 39 years old.

"One of the Southeast's economic hubs, Atlanta offers single, educated women great opportunities at the CDC, Coca-Cola, Home Depot and more," the survey noted.

Arlington, Va., is the No. 1 city for single, educated women, followed by Alexandria, Va., Cambridge, Mass., Washington, D.C. and San Francisco.
