ORLANDO, Fla. -- The attorney representing one of two girls facing stalking charges related to the suicide of 12-year-old Rebecca Sedwick says those charges have now been dropped.
Baez -- the high profile Orlando attorney who successfully defended Casey Anthony in the murder trial of her 2-year-old daughter -- took up the case last month.
His 12-year-old client had earlier admitted to deputies that she bullied Rebecca and picked fights with her, but Rebecca never fought back. The girl told deputies she was sorry for what happened. She was arrested for felony aggravated stalking.

"She is not what the mug shot and headlines are portraying her to be," Baez previously told 10 News. "She is a child. I'm not going to allow her to be bullied or the system to bully her."
Following a press conference Wednesday evening, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd revealed the charges against the 14-year-old, who was also charged with stalking in the Sedwick case, were dropped.
The two girls agreed in juvenile court to undergo counseling as a condition of the charges being dropped.
Rebecca Sedwick jumped off an abandoned cement plant tower on Sept. 9. Investigators and her family say bullying that started at school and continued online pushed Rebecca over the edge.
