ROSWELL, Ga. -- Former Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones is making news again on Twitter.
Jones tweeted Wednesday night that he set woods near his home on fire after disposing of fireplace ashes. He also tweeted his thanks to firefighters.

Jones posted this tweet at 6:56 p.m., "Lol. Tried to do my daily chores and cleaned out the fireplace. Went and dumped the ashes. Alls good right? Nope. Set the woods on fire! Ugh"
He also tweeted, "I got firefighters all over my place! Thank you Roswell Fire Dept."
Jones retweeted a post by a neighbor that includes photos of the fire.
A fan got attention on Twitter, too, when she said her Dad was one of the firefighters who responded. The young woman told Jones in a tweet, "He was also there when the power line went down by your house last December."
Jones made Twitter news in July, when he used his account to urge fans to join him in refusing to watch games worked by umpire Angele Hernandez.
Then in early August, Jones tweeted, "No more Twitter for me. Said I'd do it for one year and the time is up. Too much hate and too many trolls. Much love to Braves country! Xo."
