ATLANTA, Ga -- Rozanda Thomas prefers Chilli. "I keep telling people not to do that," she told 11Alive's Melissa Long when she heard "Rozanda Chilli Thomas". The story behind the name is just one she shared when she appeared on #Trendingat10 on The ATL (11Alive's sister station) Wednesday night.

Her trip to our midtown studios came after a whirlwind of other appearances since the VH1 premier "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story" Monday night. The show attracted 4.5 million viewers and generated nearly 2 million tweets.

"I'm very proud of the film. We were very hands on, as executive producers. It was my dream to tell this story," Chilli said.

She was open about the criticism she's facing for the way the biopic shows manager Perri "Pebbles" Reis in an unflattering light. Chilli says CrazySexyCool sold 46 million copies worldwide. But just eight months after that release, the trio filed for bankruptcy and debts totaling $3.5 million. The biopic suggests Pebbles withheld millions from her clients.

On Twitter, Pebbles (under @pebbles2day) posted a series of tweets:

Long asked Chilli about the Twitter comments and threats of calling in lawyers.  "It's not surprising to be she's doing what she's doing. But at the end of the day, I know, my group member knows we told the truth. We didn't lie," she said.

Chilli and T-Boz are working on a new album. When asked if they would replace Lisa 'Left-Eye' Lopes, she said no way.  "You just can't replace a group member. You can't replace a girl in TLC, it just doesn't work like that," she said.

Chilli wouldn't reveal much about the sound of the new album, just the content: "What's important to us is lyrical content. We've always had songs that are really strong with their messages.... We're definitely believers of female empowerment."

She had a message to log-time TLC fans: "Ladies, we got your back. We have some songs that the guys will probably be like, 'Really?!' But that's what we do. We're TLC."
