1 killed in wreck on Singleton Road

NORCROSS, Ga. -- One person was killed and at least two were injured in an accident on Singleton Road in Gwinnett County Thursday morning.

The accident happened in the road's intersection with Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

Gwinnett County Police Capt. Edwin Ritter said six cars were involved in the wreck. One person died; another was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. A third person suffered minor injuries. No names have been released.

Ritter said all northbound lanes and one southbound lane of Singleton Road are closed at the scene. Jimmy Carter Boulevard is open.
