Pedestrian hit and killed by car in Gwinnett

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- A pedestrian was hit by a car on a busy Gwinnett County road Thursday morning.

The person was discovered on Duluth Highway near Medical Center Boulevard in Lawrenceville.

Dispatchers confirmed the pedestrian was killed. The victim's identity was not released.

The road was closed as crews investigated the accident. It has since reopened.
